Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

GBYC Sunset

A great orange glow following the setting sun on Aug. 17, 2010 in Grand Bend, Ontario. The mast belong to the Grand Bend Yacht Club fleet.

I returned from the beach after the sun has set into the lake. From time to time one gets one of these nice orange glows into the clouds that makes for a great photo. I am on my boat using my telephoto lens shooting towards the clubhouse (which is a replica lighthouse of Strawberry Island). Just the top of the masts and lighthouse are seen lit by a orange sky...George
