Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

Given Race Update

My friend Brad who lives in Goderich caught the fleet rounding in town at about 1230 and reported a Beneteau 27 winning averaged 13+ knots. He also mentioned that unfortunately one of the fleet did not make it to the finish line...a Hunter 37' lost its mast near Goderich and also had a line wrapped around its prop...needing a tow into Goderich Harbour by the Coast Guard. I believe the boat is still there this week....George
