Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

Fall Storms

The waves were up to high mark along the shoreline and actually washed some of the bank away this week. There was a nice pile of chopped firewood along the bank which is now out to sea.

Brad sent me this photo from the Wednesday blow on Lake Huron. As one can see there is no beach on this particular day.....I am sure glad my boat is out already.....George
