Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

ICW Snowbird Rally

In the current Sail magazine one will find an ad for an organised fall rally down the inter-coastal lead by Canadian Wally Morgan. Wally has been at the last few Pt Credit boat shows giving talks about his trips down the ICW. He is a really interesting person and a regular contributor to Sail magazine. I did get a chance to meet and talk to him prior to one of his talks a few years ago. The trip begins Nov. 1st from Hampton, Virginia with planned events along the way. One needs to sign up by June 1st. This could be a fun trip if one is heading that way....George.
