Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

Grand Bend South Pier

A board is attached to the end of the pier so one will not hit it coming in with a boat. Now to see if any boats will be going in this season.

Looks like more water than last year. The south pier at Grand Bend is partly underwater. I wonder how much more water will cover it when a west wind begins to blow water up the river...George
