Boat Launch

Well the week has gone by and my boat is still far from the water although I have been ready to go in since the last week of April. I am still buried behind 5 boats one still has the cover. Even though my launch time was 2pm on Monday...guess I will be spending the weekend in town this year...the bad part is they can not commit for a launch day next week either and being away for a few days the week after I am afraid I will not be in till early June...George

This Weekend

The boats are going in at Grand Bend on Saturday.

It has been a long cold winter and not much worth posting about. We almost made it away this winter...family medical emergency-old news now...we have a trip we paid for to Florida that we were lucky to bank till next winter.

This was a busy weekend for me.  I stopped by Grand Bend on my way to wash my boat. The boats are now in at Grand Bend. On my boat the wheel, dodger and bbq are once again installed. Sunday Kyle and I got a coat of rustlock on his steel keel. The bottom painting and wax will happen on Wed. with the movement of their boat to Bayfield on Monday May 4th. If it all works out the boat will be launched on arrival. My boat is scheduled for Monday May 11th...George

Although spring is here and May is days away it sure does not look or feel like it at Bayfield.

It has been a struggle for spring to arrive...this is the lake on Saturday.

This winter we planned a trip to the Keys that did not work out. My friend Brad send me this photo of a place we talked about going for a drink...seems he made it...George

We have a new scanner now that I was playing around with. Here are a few photos from my days on our old Tanzer 10 plus years ago. I actually scanned the one photo for our daughter as she was wondering about shade this coming summer when their boat goes in. The awning is actually just sail material cut and fitted with battens by Boston Sails for us...George
