Beaufort, South Carolina

A typical front porch in town.
It is about a year and one half since we visited Beaufort, South Carolina. Beaufort is a seaport on the inter-coastal along highway 17. It is a short drive over from Charleston, SC. Old Bay Marketplace is a good stop in town. It also known as the Queen of the Carolina Sea Islands and the mile marker on the ICW is 536.3. Beaufort pronounced (bew-fort) is the second oldest city in SC. It also was founded before Savannah and discovered before Charleston. Here are a few views from our visit during November 2015...George Dutka

A look out at the inter-coastal waterway.

Another of the heritage homes.
Cotton ball wreaths are common in this area.

The moss covered trees that line the streets in town.
