At the Lake Today

Trekker has a ton of work still to be done. Sails, wash, bimini on and some staining on the woodwork...guess sailing will be a bit off this year.

On a cloudy, with a bit of rain spit I got some chores done at the lake. I think I am slowing down as I did not get all what I had planned done. Today the antifreeze has been flushed from the lines and tanks...cushions are in and the cockpit is washed...the rest of the boat wash will have to wait till next time up which will be next week as I am off to Connecticut tomorrow...George

The kids boat Copout is well used already this year with the grandkids having been staying over the last two weekend...it has not been a great weekend for the boat next door as they are up most of the night partying at the beach bonfire...our grandkids are up by 6am...I'm sure there is not much sleeping happening after that on that nearby boats. Did I mention there are two beavers in the basin which keep the kids entertained through the day.

Jessica came by this morning for breakfast and to steal as many of Mom's plant as she could...seems she took home a good chunk of what was laid out for next weekends garage sale also...a packrat maybe...anyhow she got a neat selfie stick from Ryan and wanted to try it out with her phone...seems to work well...George

Big Surprise

This is how my boat looked last week, a week past my launch date....boxed in by a few rows of boats, some with no work done on them yet this spring.

On Thursday I went up with Susanne to the lake to put up the mast on Copout my daughters boat and slight  hope my boat was near the clearing in the boat backlog. As it turned out a few boats had gone in and others that looked like they had not been touched yet this spring moved out of the way of mine. The mast is now up and my boat is now in...actually the whole back row went in that day...George

Beach Chairs

We just purchased two chairs similar to these at Ikea this spring. They are similar to those we used as kids at our family's cottage...looking forward to getting into them soon at the beach....George

Boat Launch

Well the week has gone by and my boat is still far from the water although I have been ready to go in since the last week of April. I am still buried behind 5 boats one still has the cover. Even though my launch time was 2pm on Monday...guess I will be spending the weekend in town this year...the bad part is they can not commit for a launch day next week either and being away for a few days the week after I am afraid I will not be in till early June...George
