Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

Five Birthdays at once

Onion Dip

This is a nice mix for adding to cream cheese for a nice flavored onion dip. Just tried it last weekend...George

Footlong Hot Dogs

We decided to make our own hot dogs the other day after picking up foot longs in St. Thomas. Great red hots and nice fresh buns...George

Ate the last one tonight. Fried onions and tomatoes with a bit of mustard works well.

Beach Time?

The gang is all here.

The other evening the seagulls outnumbered the crowd on the beach in Pt. Stanley. It was a week night and Mackies is only open on weekends now...have to go home and make our own hot dogs...George

Nice can of Nuts

Foodland sometime ago offered there mixed nuts in a can that we really love...have to try them...George

Watermelons - Sam's Place

Sam's Place has some really nice watermelons this summer.

A stop for watermelons on the way to Pt. Dover this summer had us back again in Sept for more...George
