Mile Marker 49

Follow along with George Dutka views of current and past photos, along with thoughts and discoveries. Mile Marker has a dual meaning. During my working years it used to be a designated location along the railway's right of way, now it is a location along the roadway`s of my future. Mile Marker 49 is actually at Marathon, located in the Florida Keys. A good place to take aim at I would think. This view is a sunset sail with my daughter Jessica who had come up for a summer weekend in 2005.

The old Sign

On the north side of the river is the sign that has seen better days.

The plastic coating sign which has been over the old sign for years ripped apart this year revealing an old vintage view...George

At the Dock once again

After launch I stayed over two nights. By the second evening I had the main on, dingy in and bimini and dodger on...well under way to another season.

First Stay Over May 29 2019

Trekker went in late this year due to lots of rain and cold days. I decided to stay over the night the launch happens...nice sunset.
