A trip to Marine City

On Tuesday we headed over to Marine City via the Sombra ferry. A great day for a road trip. Anita's had a line up for lunch so we headed over to Gar's for a burger and Bumba...Bumba's holds a half jug of beer and for $3.75 in a frosty glass is a great deal. The burgers are half pound and way more than one can eat...actually a dinner for two...George

Monday was a really windy day at the lake...and rainy...something this summer is seeing a lot of on Lake Huron...a view of the pier during the morning blow...George

The sun had set maybe 10 minutes before I took this photo...the sky kind of opened up with a nice mix of colour.

Once again I arrived late afternoon to a rain storm. It actually stopped just after the sun set and the reflection in the sky was another interesting view...George

The last few times I have been at the lake it began with rain with a lull for a sunset...the clouds really made the colours come out...George

Georgian Bay - Vodka

I now have some Vodka to add to my wine collection. The rum is tucked away in the liquor cabinet.

The current LBCO book had a nice write-up on local Vodka's. This one kind of got my interest and now I have a bottle of it to enjoy on the boat...kids stay away...George

Thunderbird car show - Bayfield

On Sunday the theme changes from GM to Ford and a collection of Thunderbirds took over the park. Unfortunately I could not make it back for this but some bird's arrived early and could be found around town. One of the 1950's Vette owners was bringing his bird the next day...some guys...George

Vette Fest 2017 - Bayfield, Ont.

On Saturday the annual Corvette festival happens in the main park on Hwy 21 Bayfield, Ontario. This year I am guessing was the largest collection of Vette's...enjoy the views...George

Monday at the lake

Monday I finally got my boat out for the first time of the season. I had been out a number of times on our old boat Copout so the new owner can get a feel of things...now it is time for Trekker to do its thing...George

July 1st

The gang gathered at our daughters home for some burgers on Canda Day 150. Was nice to see a few friends that we had not been together with for a bit...then off to the lake on Sunday...George
