Pirates in Bayfield

On Saturday evening Bayfield had it's annual pirate pot luck dinner and party including entertainment. A good time for all especially the kids...George

Mark and I with name tags on. Later in the evening Mark could not figure out how people knew his name while he had no idea who they are...that is what a bucket of beer does to you.

Grand-Daughter's Graduation

New Seats on the Berm - Bayfield Lake Basin

One of our dock neighbors is a woodworker that put together two new twin chair sets for the berm...a really nice spot to catch the sunset or to add into a view of the setting sun...George

Storm Chaser

Yesterday at the lake the weather sucked although we did need rain...and it did rain most of the day. It cleared up after supper to some degree when a red van pulled into the basin with Storm Chaser on the front hood just before sunset. A guy got out and ran up the berm to check out the lake and clouds. Well I thought the van with the dark cloud in behind would make an interesting view, but by the time I got my camera out and headed down the dock he was pulling out...this is all I got...George

The sunset turned out to be a good one and nothing for the storm chaser to get excited about.

Container Home - Bayfield, Ont.

This years Dream Home worth over one million is in Bayfield and made out of 8 shipping containers. The total interior space is 4,000 square feet on three floors. Here are some photos from my visit yesterday...George

Road Trip

Today my friends Don and Peter joined me on a road trip to Michigan to visit friends. On the way back after a beer and nachos at an outside river side view restaurant in Marine City we headed back home via the ferry...a nice ride to end the day...George

Winds Still Blowing

Sunday I spent the day up at the lake even though it was cool and really windy...it appears the sails are still flogging in the wind on a river side boat in Bayfield....George

Pirate Party

Next weekend the gang is looking at gathering at the lake once again to attend this years pirate party...should be a good time...George

Wild Weather at the Lake

Wednesday morning at the pier found surfers having fun. Not sure how much as it was really cold.

On Tuesday night I stayed over at the lake...cold and really windy. It actually calmed down for a bit around suppertime giving me a chance to get the main sail on. The next morning the wind really picked up and I headed for home...George

On the town docks one boat was not that lucky as it's furling let go and the head sail was shredded.

Fun Fair

Today we attended Grace's school FUN FAIR...the kids win tokens for prizes when winning at the games. Cotton candy and hot dogs are the food of the day...fun for all...George
