Cover is off the boat

Two weeks and they go in the water.
Wednesday I finally made it up to the lake and got the cover off mine and Kyle's boats. It was so warm I actually washed both boats...George

The beach is as wide as last year but the hill is half gone due to the fall storms...Thinking the chair up top will have to be moved back a bit.

Nanny is 91 this week

Nanny with the girls celebrating a great day.

Tuesday we got together to celebrate Susanne's mom's 91st birthday. We had a great lunch with a surprise to come later in the day...Nathan proposed to Nicole after work during a visit with Nanny and Papa. Their dog Kira had the ring around her neck. We all arrive shortly after 5pm to help celebrate...George

Our Nathan and Nicole on a happy day.

The ring

Two Mimosa's for Nanny...one for the birthday and one for the engagement toast. Boy what a day.

60th Birthday Party

A great looking cake made by a friend in Sarnia.
Last Saturday Susanne and I attended our friend Marr-Marr's 60th birthday party. It was catered, including a bartender and clean up crew. A band set up in the living room which kept thing hopping till midnight. Most ofl the furniture was moved out of the house or moved against the walls so there was room for 50 plus guests....a fun time...George

The food just kept rolling out all night. Here we see Susanne filling up on rolls.

Not sure who needed the rest, but the sax guy (who is from down south) just kept playing.

Owen's 4th Birthday

Not sure how these work but better stay away.
We have had a very busy week or two...began with Owen's birthday and ended with Nicole being engaged. Will start with Owens party photos...George

Grace playing with the balloons Dev arrived with.

Kyle cooking burgers and sausages on a warm April evening. Jamie is red cupping his wine.

Andover, Ma.

A pretty view of a New England style church. That day we wore just a shirt, no coat. The next day it was snowing.
One of our stops brought us to Andover, Ma. a rail commuter stop in a very pretty town. We took a few photos around town but the sun came out as we passed this nice looking church. So we decided to get a couple extra views. Interesting to find two cemeteries a few blocks apart...George

Just down from the Andover commuter station is a RR crossing into a cemetery. It was interesting to see the stop sign with all the additional warnings right next to the location one would be if they did not follow them.

An interesting stop!

How patriotic, red, white and blue passing lines. Here we see Peter out in the middle of traffic on Main St. I'm more sensible, I am standing in the crosswalk holding up the traffic taking photos.
My friend Peter Mumby and I attended a railroad event in the Boston area a couple of weeks ago. One of our stops was in Peabody, Ma. The main street through town has a red, white and blue strip down the middle of the street. We thought that was really American and decided to get a photo of it even though it was drizzling out. Crazy Canadians. Heading back from the middle of a busy Main St. on a Saturday morning we noticed a small car with a large coffee cup attached drive in behind the fire house. We headed back to check it out. Two girls got out of the car...one with a backpack full of coffee and a coffee cup holster. Well that was worth another photo. The girls were off around town promoting New England Coffee (which we found out supplies Dunk'in Donuts). This stop was the fire hall. Well I never turn down a free coffee so here we are getting our pictures taken with the coffee crew...George Dutka

Did I say free coffee.

An interesting sight seeing this coming down Main St.

Even Peter is having a coffee and he does not even like the stuff.
